Are they free?
Yes.

Do they work if I have my iPhone turned off in 'plane mode'?
Absolutely. Simply download the App while in Wi-Fi range… then you are free to play and plan on or offline.

What do they do?
The Apps help you find great spots to enjoy your holiday. Whether you seek odd shops, epic breaks or the liveliest pubs – our travel guide series points you to the best bets.

Where does the info come from?
We partner with local tourism groups, indigenous bloggers and recent visitors to offer thousands of unique recommendations.

Can I make postcards in the New Zealand. Spot-On App without traveling? How would I save/share them?
Yes you can flaunt your Kiwi spirit without ever leaving town.
  1. Go to the Postcards tab in the App, then take a photo or select one from an existing Album.
  2. Choose the photo
  3. Pick a custom Frame. Use left/right arrows to flip through the options. Note that you can resize/move the image with two fingers. Once you have the ideal Frame, tap "Next: Pick stamps…"
  4. Browse the Stamps by sliding finger right to left. Select one by tapping it and then tapping the photo to place it. Adjust the size, angle, and placement with two fingers.
  5. Add Bubbles... voice or thought bubbles to help tell your story
  6. Add a Caption by typing a quick note
  7. Select 'Done'
  8. To Save or Publish the Postcard, tap the icon in the top right of the screen that looks like an arrow coming out of box.

  9. Choose whether you prefer to Save to Photo Album (saves to your local photos - good choice for backing-up or emailing them) or share with a social network. You can quickly post to Twitter or Facebook by signing in with existing account info and then publishing. 
  10. Publishing Postcards while offline simply queues them up to shared next time you are using the App with Wi-Fi
Tip: Postcards can also be created from within an Activity. These Postcards automatically feature the Name, links and descriptions as part of the Postcard information. This is a great way to remember precisely where you were when flaunting it later to friends across Facebook and Twitter.
